FACE Pottery – Morin-Heights
FACE Poterie is a pottery workshop-boutique-café located in Morin-Heights. We are looking for a dynamic, sociable and curious person, with a real thirst for learning and a desire to get involved in a long-term creative project.
Job Description
The selected person will play a central role in the daily life of the workshop. This is a versatile, people-oriented and creative position, combining teaching, customer service and workshop life .
Pottery and workshop

Give a weekly 2-hour pottery shaping class, every Saturday morning
-
Adopting an accessible, human and non-intimidating pedagogical approach , focused on the pleasure of creating, each individual's pace and the discovery of the material

To support participants who are primarily beginners , often with no prior experience in pottery

Participate in the general tasks of the workshop:

Clay recycling
-
Maintenance and organization of the space
-
Making some basic parts
-
Shop & café
-
Welcoming customers and acting as an advisor at the pottery shop

Presenting the pieces, explaining the techniques, uses and the world of FACE Pottery

Operate the coffee area and prepare specialty (third wave) coffee.

Perform related tasks for the shop and cafe:

Opening and closing of the space

Countertop maintenance, dishwashing and cleaning

Product presentation and cleanliness maintenance

Be open to learning the barista trade or already possess some basic knowledge.
👉 Training offered
Coffee is not our highest volume of demand, but it is an integral part of the customer experience and the role in the store.

Sociable, caring and responsible person

Comfortable in front of an audience, able to put people at ease

Strong interest in pottery, crafts, and customer service

No experience in pottery, teaching, or coffee making is required.

Schedule & number of hours

Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (including the shaping class in the morning)

Approximately 27 to 28 hours per week
