Our new pottery workshop will be located at 887 chemin du Village in Morin-Heights starting in October 2024. You can now register for an introductory course!

The introductory pottery workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is aimed at anyone who wants to discover pottery in a warm and fun atmosphere!

This course aims to teach you more about the stages of pottery and to understand the manufacturing process, while being in a zen space, where the only goal is to have fun! During this initiation, you will have the chance to create a small bowl or cup of your own! The course is dedicated for 8 people maximum, this formula will allow you to have more time with the teacher and to ask all the questions you have!

At the end of the course, we take care of the firing and glazing. Your piece will be available approximately 5 to 6 weeks after the course to pick up at the workshop (887 Chemin du Village, Morin-Heights). A delivery option for an additional fee may be available at the time of your course.

An email will be sent to you when your piece is ready, so you can come and collect it. It happens that some pieces break along the way, pottery is a complex art with several risks throughout the process. In the event that your piece does not reach the final firing, we undertake to make you a similar one (some additional delays may be incurred if this is the case). We care about your experience with us and we want to make sure that you will keep a beautiful memory of it in your home.

This course is dedicated to adults, teenagers aged 13 and over are also welcome, accompanied by an adult! It is recommended to arrive a few minutes early so that the course can start on time.

- Do not wear jewelry
- Wear suitable clothing and shoes in a workshop

If you have a special condition that may require accommodations, or if you have any questions regarding the layout of the space, please contact us by email before registering.

No refund is possible. If you have an impediment on the date chosen for the introductory course, please notify us by email at least one week before. In this case, we will be able to transfer your course to another date that suits you. If you have to cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, it will not be possible to move the course. In such a case, we suggest that you give this course to one of your relatives. We are a small company and it would be impossible for us to find a replacement so quickly.

FAQs

During the introductory classes, you will have the opportunity to create small pottery pieces such as small bowls, ramekins, cups or even plates. To allow you to familiarize yourself with the techniques, three balls of clay will be made available to you to try to create an object. At the end of the course, you will be able to choose your favorite piece from those you have created. One piece is included in the course, but you will also have the option to take more for an additional fee on site.

We provide all necessary materials including clay, pottery tools and basic equipment. However, please note that there are some recommendations to ensure your safety and the smooth running of classes. It is best to have short nails in order to handle the clay more easily. Additionally, we recommend tying up your hair and wearing clothing and shoes suitable for working with clay.
